Full job description:

Dooks Golf Club is looking for a full-time greenkeeper who works well in a team environment with suitable experience, and will enhance and maintain the quality of the course. The following list of duties gives a detailed explanation of the various responsibilities that you will be performing. The successful candidate should be adaptable to other assigned tasks from time to time as directed by management.


Job Specification

  1. Maintaining golf course to a high standard daily. 
  2. Setting up the golf course each day for play.
  3. Participate in the cleaning of equipment and tools.
  4. Monitor the grounds for any repairs so that the course is accessible and safe.
  5. Ability to arrive to work as rostered and on time; follow directions and maintain good working relationships with co-workers and managers.

The above Job Specification is not a full list of all duties involved and consequently, the position holder may be required to perform other duties as appropriate to the role and which may be assigned to him/her from time to time and to contribute to the development of the role during his/her employment.

Requirements:

  1. A Valid Clean Driving Licence
  2. Availability for weekend work (roster based)
  3. Physical strength: Ability to lift and/or push heavy objects
  4. Content to work outdoors twelve months of the year.
  5. Works well in a team environment

Desirable
The following are desirable but not essential:
Spraying Certificates / Chainsaw Licence

The position may suit an applicant without experience who is willing to undergo an apprenticeship program.
