 The position will work directly with the Links
Superintendent and the course agronomist/consultant as needed. The goal of the position is to assist the Links
Superintendent in providing our members and guests with the best possible experience when playing our golf course.

JOB TITLE: Deputy Links Superintendent
Dunfanaghy Golf Club is an 18-Hole Links golf course located in Dunfanaghy, County Donegal, F92 A372. Golf was
first played in 1886, and the Club was founded in 1906. The Links was formally laid out by Harry Vardon in the
1920’s. The club has 800 members. The Links is presently going through a phase of redesign via a Master Plan by DT
Tour and 2014 Ryder Cup Captain, Paul McGinley. Over the next few years it will be developed into a par 70.
We are looking to recruit a Deputy Course Superintendent.
This position requires a level of organization, communication, and willingness to go above and beyond.  We expect
everyone to do whatever it takes daily to meet expectations. The post will help provide the experience and confidence
to reach your goal of becoming a Links Superintendent. 
We would like to invite candidates with a positive attitude, dependable, ambitious and accountable; with a passion for
the game of golf, the industry and developing the golf course to a premium membership standard.

Qualifications
 Level 6 FETAC- Greenkeeping and Sports Turf Management certificate or equivalent
 PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates
 Manual Handling course
 Basic first aid and if possible, defibrillator training
 Use of Microsoft- word, excel, PowerPoint or equivalent (ability to provide course and budget reports)

Remuneration
The post carries an attractive salary which can be pensionable. Starting salary will depend on qualifications and
experience.
