We are looking to hire an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent for the Seve Ballesteros and Jeff Howes designed, championship golf course at The Heritage Golf Resort.

Full job description:
This highly motivated individual will report to and work directly with the Golf Course Superintendent. You will also be mentored in how to manage, motivate and lead a team.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Cutting of greens, tees, surrounds, fairways, rough and semi rough. 
2.  Maintaining bunkers.
3.  Carry out routine repairs.
4.  Set up the golf course.
5.  Maintaining trees and shrubs on the golf course.
6.  General spraying duties with both Knapsack and boom sprayers.
7.  Be able to use, understand and carry out minor repairs on the irrigation system.
8.  Check machinery before and after use and report any irregularities to the mechanic.
9.  Maintain good standards of health and safety for self and others.
10.  Understanding the rules of golf relating to golf course maintenance.
11.  Communicating effectively to all team members in the venue and golfers on the course.
12.  Lead the team when the superintendent is on leave.
13.  Maintain maintenance records of all activities.
14.  Be involved in the drafting and implementation of the annual maintenance plan.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:

1.  Spraying certs.
2. Greenkeeping diploma/certificate is an advantage but not a necessity.
