Carton House is 5 star Hotel surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. At Carton House we have two championship golf courses, The O’Meara, designed by Mark O’Meara opened in 2002, and The Montgomerie, designed by Colin Montgomerie opened in 2003. Both golf course are championship Par 72, 18 hole with practice facilities. Both are host to the Ladies Irish Open in 2024 and 2025. Men's Irish Open in 2005, 2006 and 2013. Golf Ireland Head Quarters are also based here at Carton House We also have a High Spec. training pitch which is home to IRFU, Premier Football teams GAA as well as Host to NFL team Pittsburgh Stealers in 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

1.  Work alongside Management, greenkeepers and operatives.
2.  Assist in turf maintenance including mowing, irrigating and control of pests on the greens. 
3.  General golf course set up procedures.
4.  Bunker raking, edging and repairing divots on a daily basis.
5.  Operate machinery
6.  Golf Knowledge Set up.
7.  Practice safe handling of all chemicals and fertilizer accordingly.
8.  Assist in ensuring the course is properly laid out and prepared for members and guests.

Key Requirements: 

1.  Cultural and chemical Knowledge for fine turf Maintenance
2.  Machinery, Irrigation, Chemical, Fertilizer knowledge.
3.  Excellent attention to detail
4.  Ability to work on own initiative
5.  Willingness to learn under Supervision
