Westmanstown Golf Club is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Greenkeeper to join our team and play a key role in the continued development and presentation of our premier 18-hole parkland course, located just outside Dublin.

The Role:
As Senior Greenkeeper, you will assist the Course Superintendent in all aspects of turf management and course maintenance. You’ll lead daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure the course is maintained to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Oversee and carry out daily course maintenance operations
•  Lead and mentor the greenkeeping team
•  Operate and maintain turf care machinery
•  Assist with planning and implementing course improvement projects
•  Monitor turf health and apply appropriate treatments
•  Ensure compliance with health & safety and environmental regulations

Requirements:

•  Minimum 2-3 years’ greenkeeping experience, with 1+ years in a senior or supervisory role
•  Valid Driver’s Licence
•  Qualifications in Sportsturf Management, Agronomy, Horticulture or a related field are preferred.
•  Spraying qualifications, including PA1, PA2, and PA6 is an advantage.
•  Chainsaw/Polesaw qualifications is also an advantage.
•  Strong leadership and communication skills
•  Excellent knowledge of course machinery and irrigation systems
•  Passion for golf and high course presentation standards
•  Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work early mornings and weekends as required
