Full job description:

Cill Dara Golf Club is a charming 9 hole parkland course located in County Kildare, and we are now seeking an experienced and motivated Head Greenkeeper to join our team. 


This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate turfgrass professional to take ownership of course presentation and lead a dedicated greenkeeping team. If you have a proven track record in golf course maintenance, a hands-on approach, and the drive to deliver a quality playing surface, we would love to hear from you.


Experience:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in golf course maintenance with time spent in a supervisory/leadership role is an advantage.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance of the golf course to a consistent standard.
  • The ability to lead and direct the greenkeeping and course maintenance team.
  • Implement and manage agreed turf care programmes.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, Implement agreed sustainable practices into the management of the golf course.
  • Provide input into the development of the course maintenance budget.
  • Manage the course maintenance budget in liaison with the General Manager.
  • Maintain all machinery and equipment to the required maintenance and safety standards.
  • Implement agreed course improvement projects.
  • Maintain good standards that meet Health & Safety (H.S.A.) + Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.)
  • Record Plant Protection Products (PPP) use APTI Sustainable portal

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in golf course maintenance with time spent in a supervisory/leadership role is an advantage.
  • A minimum FETAC Level 6, equivalent or higher in a relevant qualification with evidence of continuing professional development. PA1, PA2, PA6 required with Chainsaw certificate is an advantage, training will be provided if required.
  • Energetic and diligent worker that can demonstrate high levels of attention to detail.
  • Full Driver License
  • In-depth knowledge of turf management practices, irrigation systems and course maintenance equipment.
