Position Overview
Rathfarnham Golf Club is delighted to invite applications to join our dedicated and professional greenkeeping team. The club continues to invest heavily in course development, state-of-the-art machinery, and staff progression. Our clear ambition is to be recognised as one of the best-maintained parkland golf courses in Dublin—and we are well on our way to achieving that goal. We are currently recruiting a full-time, permanent Greenkeeper, with an immediate start available. The successful candidate will work closely with the Course Superintendent and wider greenkeeping team, contributing to all aspects of course maintenance. This role requires a well-rounded skill set and a strong team ethic. Working conditions at Rathfarnham Golf Club are excellent. We offer a friendly and supportive working environment and are flexible regarding holidays and weekend work. The club is actively upgrading its machinery fleet—our mowing fleet is Toro, tractors are Kubota, and overall machinery is modern and well maintained.
Salary & Benefits
• The successful candidate will earn a base salary at the higher end of the scale
• Additional paid overtime for weekend work: (Time and a half for Saturday mornings, double time for Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday mornings).

Ideal Candidate Attributes
• Full, valid driver’s licence
• Highly motivated with a positive attitude
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
• Willingness and flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and bank holidays when required (Weekend overtime typically involves one weekend morning every 2–3 weeks)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ideally 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role (applications from newly qualified or experienced candidates are welcome)
• Qualifications in Sportsturf Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field preferred
• Spraying qualifications (PA1, PA2, PA6) an advantage
• Chainsaw / pole saw certification an advantage
• Ability to follow direction and work effectively as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail.
