As the greenkeeper you will be responsible for performing all work details relating to general golf course maintenance and maintenance of the entire property at Galway Bay Golf. This will involve operating a variety of maintenance equipment, for which full training will be given.

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities

• Perform turf mowing of greens, tees, fairways and rough.
• Complete bunker grooming, edging and raking.
• Maintain top dressing of turf areas
• Be responsible for daily course set-up, including pin placement, tee marker rotation, retrieving any rubbish from the golf course and property
• Approach all encounters with guests, members and colleagues in a friendly service orientated manner.
• Comply at all times with Galway Bay Golf’s safety standards and regulations to ensure safe operations
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Galway Bay Golf Resort’s standards as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the golf course
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management

Professional requirements and Experience:

• Experience with equipment associated with golf course maintenance
• Excellent English written and verbal essential.
• Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions in work activities
• Be a team player
• Minimum leaving cert qualification.
• Must have at least 6 months’ experience in a similar position.
