Full job description:

Newlands Golf Club, is a thriving and successful member’s owned golf club, located at Newlands Cross and easily accessible via Exit 1a of the N7. It is close to neighbouring areas such as City West, Clondalkin and Tallaght.


A vacancy has arisen for the position of Full Time Greenkeeper, reporting to the Course Superintendent or Deputy as required. 

The successful candidate will work as part of the Greenkeeping Team who maintain the highest standards of presentation and playability across the 18 hole parkland course at Newlands.


Job Specification 

  • Maintaining golf course to a high standard daily
  • Setting up the golf course each day for play.
  • Preparing machines for daily use
  • Service and maintenance of vehicles and tools as required.
  • Ability to arrive to work as rostered and on time; follow directions and maintain good working relationships with co-workers and managers.

  • Physical strength: Ability to lift and/or push heavy objects

Desirable

The following are desirable but not essential:

  • A minimum of a Level 5 Greenkeeping Qualification OR similar industry related qualification 
  • Relative experience in the Golf industry, Spraying Certificates , Chainsaw Licence, Experience working as a mechanic on golf course machinery (greens mowers, fairway mowers, rough mowers etc.)
