  10.  Be a member of the Link Maintenance leadership team, included in weekly meetings and all daily and high-level course long range planning discussions.
  11.  Work closely with and learn from the Course Manager and take part in discussions with the club’s consultants.

The golf course is located beside Rosses Point beach, with stunning panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the surrounding mountains of Benbulbin and Knocknarea. County Sligo is home to some of the best beaches in the world, with popular surfing locations within a short distance from Sligo town. The town sits on the spectacular Wild Atlantic Way route, with a vast amount of walking, hiking and cycling routes, mountains, beaches and nature to explore. The course is open year-round with most of the 36,000 rounds/year happening between April and October. The 18-hole Championship course, designed by esteemed golf course architect Mr. Harry Colt, is joined by the 9-hole Bowmore course for members and guests. The club has hosted the prestigious West of Ireland amateur championship for more than 100 years. Past winners of the championship include Rory McElroy, Shane Lowry, and Padraig Harrington.

County Sligo is committed to continually restoring and improving the golf course and facilities and is currently undergoing a multi-phase renovation by world renowned architect firm Mackenzie & Ebert as part of the club’s Master Plan. Phase 1 of this Master Plan has just been completed in 2024-2025, with likely two more phases to be completed in the coming years. Other future capital planning includes continued equipment replacement, Maintenance Facility upgrades, and irrigation system improvements.
